As Master Pruner advising at over 100 wineries, Marco Simonit has gained insight on the most precious terroirs at the likes of Leroy, Leflaive, Ch. d’Yquem, Ch. Haut-Bailly, Biondi Santi, Champagne Louis Roederer, Schrader Cellars and Spotswoode – and posit what the future might hold for new and ancient vines. During this seminar, the great man will take us on an exploration that contrasts the time-honored traditions and nuanced flavors of Old World wines with the bold, innovative profiles of New World varieties.
Ch. Angélus is one of Saint-Emilion’s finest properties – and the region’s only estate to remain under family ownership since its inception over 237 years ago. Adored by collectors and critics alike, Robert Parker hailed Angélus “one of the great, shining success stories and superstar estates of Saint-Emilion and all of Bordeaux”. This seminar offers a rare opportunity to dig into the detail with Executive President, Yves de Launay, while sampling two remarkable vintages of the Château’s second wine, Carillon d’Angelus, as well as back vintages of the Grand Vin.
Explore one of the most collectible Super Tuscans – Tignanello’s sibling, Solaia, from Marchesi Antinori. Follow the highly coveted wine’s evolution from the riper, plusher vintages of the early 2000s through to the more modern, refined style made today during this wonderful flight of 8 top vintages. Each and every one offers a fascinating insight into this remarkable sun-soaked terroir. We will also taste the inaugural vintage of 2019 Nibbio della Sala, a very rare Chardonnay by Marchesi Antinori, with only 5,790 bottles produced.
